Well, I thought I'd give this contest a try.

I believe mythology and art go hand in hand. Sure, fantastic oral and written traditions exist, but no other medium can bring the imaginary to life like the visual arts. Throughout time, myths have inspired art and have added to our understanding of cultures around the world. So here is a little tribute to the way art brings myth to life!

I can't get tired of this fabulous illustration. I love the rough style of your lineart, the unsaturated colors, the drawing itself... really beautiful!

This one is great! I like the less-saturated color pallet, and the composition is perfectly dynamic and cohesive. Also, you are one of the few people that seem to have a solid, mature concept behind your work, which I respect.

I hope you like mine as well. I worked very hard on it, and I hope to AT LEAST make the top 100, but I fear being new to the site, I will not be able to transcend the popularity contest and get enough votes... Here is my entry:
